1On your phone

Open this page on the phone that will do the scanning, and add AltScan to its home screen.

iPhone: in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Android: in Chrome, tap the ⋮ menu, then Install app.

2On your computer

Download AltScan for PC. It types each scan into Excel, or whatever program you click on.

The first time you open it, Windows may say it protected your PC — choose More info, then Run anyway. On a Mac, open System Settings, Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway.

3Connect them

Open AltScan for PC — it shows a QR code. On the phone, open AltScan, tap Scan QR code and point it at that code. Then click where the scans should go, and start scanning.
